Our Services
How We Help
A Child Friendly Environment
Ashley’s Place provides a child friendly environment for children who may have experienced sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, or witness to violence. The Center is specifically designed to provide comfort to children and families throughout the investigative and treatment process, assisting in the healing journey.
Child Forensic Interviews
A Forensic Interview is a structured conversation with a professionally trained Forensic Interviewer using a nationally recognized interviewing protocol. Questions are asked in a developmentally sensitive, non-leading, and non-suggestive manner to assist the child in speaking about experienced trauma.
Family/Victim Advocacy
The Family/Victim Advocate works with families throughout the investigative process by providing support, information, referrals, court preparation and accompaniment and Victim’s compensation assistance. The victim advocacy services are tailored to meet the specific needs of each family.
Therapy services
The Center provides trauma-based therapy to child victims to assist with the beginning of the healing process. Our therapist has specialized training and credentialing in multiple evidenced based/informed treatment modalities.
Community Education and Prevention
Ashley’s Place provides community education focused on prevention and early intervention of child abuse. The Center strives to educate the community about abuse, available services and mandated reporting. Ashley’s Place staff are available for presentations to community organizations and groups.
Pups Adding Comfort For Kids (P.A.C.K. Program)
Our facility canine provides a sense of calm, security and non-judgmental support during the investigative and legal proceedings when professionals have to respond to children in an impartial and reserved manner. Our facility canine is fully trained as a service/facility dog through Canine Companions for Independence and accompanies children in the forensic interview as well as on the witness stand for judicial proceedings.
